Specificaties & Beschrijving
Orbea Gain electric road / graffiti. Purchased new in 2018, this is a one-of-a-kind ride and is marketed as one of the lightest e-road bikes on the market. You can fit wider gravel tires for gravel riding, or slicks for road riding. 11 gears, high-quality components and the electric motor is E-Bike Motion. If you want a little power to help with hills, to ride with a faster riding partner, or have knee issues, this is a great option. The motor is not obvious, is very quiet and sits in the down tube, so the bike looks sleek and like a normal bike, without a bulky outside battery on the frame. The motor is very easy to use, with no noticeable resistance when switching on or off. Bike motor is an assist, so you still get tons of riding, but with a little help (kind of like having a great tailwind pushing up the hills. 🙂 Comes with the charger and inverter, which I bought as a bike from the UK. With assistance it goes up to 25 km / h and you fly up hills and on the flats.
The rear wheel is built around a hub motor that can deliver a power of 250 W and a torque of 40 Nm. The Ebikemotion X35 motor gets its juice from a 250 Wh battery neatly integrated into the aluminum frame’s down tube. A button on the top tube allows you to select the amount of support you need, while at the same time acting as a minimalist display, with different LED colors showing the remaining battery level and the selected motor assist mode. There is also a smartphone app that can be used as a display to show performance and driving data. The recorded rides can be uploaded directly to Strava – don’t worry, Strava has its own e-bike category. Technology straight from the automotive industry:
